I just built an athlon xp 2900 for my girlfriends sisters computer. personally i think the temps are too high, here's what speedfan gives me

Temp1:69C
Temp2:49C
Temp3-1C.....................................i have no idea what that means
HD0:53C

it also sais that

Fan1:6027rpm
Fan2:2824rpm

now im not 2 sure what is the cpu temp and the video card temp are (is temp 1 the gpu and temp 2 the cpu?) but it seems pretty freaking hot, no overclocking involved either.

her cpu fan is this one

im rather surprised about the high temps because it sais that it can handle up to 3200

does any1 know of any other programs that monitor pc temps? oh btw this is the video card(i know its a cheap ass piece of crap but its fine for surfing the net and flash games)

Try rivatuner to monitor at least the vid card temps I'm not sure what else it does, I'm downloading it right now.

Motherboard Monitor 5 is a really in-depth temperature monitor. It's fairly complicated to setup, but if it already has your motherboard as a preset, then you're all set to go.

There is somethign wrong with one of those temps, you cannot get -1 on air cooling, that is faaaaar too low. I think osme of your temp sensors are wrong.

yea so do i, i downloaded motherboard monitor 5 and the cpu temps are 62 on idle, and the case is 45, is that a normal temperature for an athlon xp 2900+. i know that the xps ran a bit hotter than other cpus but this is running rly hot i think

EDIT: maybe ill try reapplying the thermal compound.

all those temps are way to hight so ur gonna have a temp problem even if u dont know what they go to there all to hight
