which temp is correct

hi as u can see by my specs i have the an7 motherboard this comes with its own temp monitor which is at 42 stock at 2.200ghz,anyways i decided to put a tempreture senser between the heatsink and the cpu and this only registers 34c how confusing what im i supposed to go with i would just like to make out that it is freezing here as it is winter and i have 6 case fans not including heatsinkfan blowing cool air into my system, its that cold in this room im shivering while writing this lol,what do you think is the correct temp

well, they are probably both correct, its all depending on how close to the chip you placed the sensor, whether its right between the heatsink and chip or if its just off to the side of it.
