system temperature 60 degrees C

My newly bought motherboard and cpu which is ga-965p-ds3 and E6320. I have not overclocked my cpu but recently i bought a new 8800 gts 320mb. is 60 degrees alright? it seems my cpu runs at around 55 in half load but system remains to be around 60. is it because my cpu runs at 1066 mhz fsb or 266mhz front bus?

no, did you use thermal paste?

If its a high Over Clock (Like above 35 to 45% increase in speed) then those temps are ok.

I only just hit 60C when stress testing @ 3.41 Ghz.

You need to worry when it gets above 60C and stays there for a long time.

Its possible that the sensor is wacked...

the 965p sensors are whack. some read 15 too high... some read 15 too low...

Even if it where 45C at stock, still way to high.

Should be between 18C and 24C at idle and stock.. (But, again room temp makes a big difference)

my room (more like house..) is always at 78... my mom is lame and always cranks up the heat, so its like 80 in my room, hence, my cpu idles at 35...
