Sweet little XP setting that I found...

I dunno if you guys have ever found this setting, but I did and I'm loving it!

It makes your fonts easier to read and they look a lot better.

Right-click on desktop > Properties > Appearances > Effects. Put a check in the box that says "Use the following method to smooth screen fonts" and pick "Cleartype". Hit Apply and enjoy.

If you already know about this...disregard the thread. But I'm sure there's some out there who have never seen this (like me) and might like it.

yeah i knew about it, and you dont even need to do it in the settings to change it, you can do it online via the microsoft website

I didn't know about that. I just tried it, and it looks like the font went a little bold. Looks weird to me, but I guess it's a matter of getting used to it. My eyes are feeling strange, looking at this.

It "bolds" it and is supposed to be easier to read and cause less eye strain.

No, it doesn't bold them. It just makes them smoother, less jagged.
