Default Super Pi 1M

Using a stock E6600, I got a time of 23 seconds. Is that about what should be expected?

Hmm ... I got 21 seconds on my E6600 at stock, perhaps you need to kill a bunch of processes?

indeed I may. but I'm not too sure what process to turn off. when I pull up task manager I really can't tell what each process is doing. Do you guys have a list for XP that details what the acronyms stand for?

no, 6600's are just cool liek that, that why everyone wants one, even the fastest amd wont get that close(your the general you should know)

as long as you dont have any windows and close anything in your taskbar that wont shutdown your computer and youll be ok(keep a firewall)
