Yes, Stick with the 5xx series. The 32-bit intels will outperform the 64-bit Athlons. But if for some reason you want a 64-bit CPU get an AMD. Get an Intel 540 J Cpu (3.2ghz)

EM meaning EMULATED , and 64 meaning 64-BIT.
EM stands for "extended memory." Not emulated.

Read this. Intel basically copied AMD's design. If you want to Flame Intel for that fine. But don't just make **** up and give people the wrong information.

And BTW, the word is that Microsoft basically made Intel copy AMD's design so there would be a universal platform to write their 64-bit OS.
