Default Stock overclocking with the E6600

While i'm probably going to get an aftermarket cooler eventually i'd like to see how far i can push it on stock. idle i get 36c full load (ie cnc tiberium wars) 50c
im using core temp. is there a guide to stock overclocking? should i even attempt ocing with these temps, if so how high would you reccomend?

b1, my computer blew up...what do I do?

I'm at 3.4. Temps are rather high but then again it's been very hot here in bakersfield ca.

C&C3 is nowhere near full load. Try three instances of Prime95 (blend/small FFT/large FFT) and look at your temps.

yeah google orthos and download that....CNC barely uses my CPU at all....it doesn't even really stress my GPU as it has a max fps of 30

Around 60c is when I would start to get worried, 50c at full load is recommended.

I'm getting 56-58C at full load. E6300 oc'ed to 2.8GHz.
Idle is 30-35C.
And that's with a Scythe Infinity.
