I just put in an extra LED fan into my comp, a 4pin Molex connector accompanied by my original LED fan, cold cathode case lights, geforce 6600GT, 2 hard drives and 2 cd/dvd drives. Also, I put in another cold cathode light, and whenver I turn it on, my comp suddenly shuts down...and when I have the switch set to "on" and I try to boot up, there is a quick power surge that lights up my fans and lights, then it quits. Hasn't fried anything yet, but I want my lights to work. Currently, power input thru my power supply is 115...should i kick it up to 230? Or is increasing the power a major no-no? Thanks a lot -Goosefoot

You are getting power and voltage confused. That switch at the back is for saying which voltage you are to use. You live in NY, so you should keep it at 115. Or else nothing will work.

It does kinda sound like a lack of power. Try taking out all components that you just put in, and try booting back up. That should determine if you are lacking sufficient power.
