Standby question

Help!!
Ok its a weird question but my previous computer when i put it into standby, it would turn off, but when i pressed any key it would resume back to its normal screen to whut i was doing.

But on this new computer i put it on standby, and its like restarting it, how do i put it on standby and when i press any key it resumes to orignal screen?

In your BIOS settings you can choose different states. S3 is the best because it uses the least amount of power and resumes the fastest. You will then want to tweak your Windows settings.
