I've been having some trouble with SP2 when overclocking. I've come to the conclusion that SP2 just doesn't like overclocking

Check out my last post: http://www.techist.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=50111

As you can see, I installed SP2 after a clean format.

Since I installed SP2, when I try and bump my CPU up to 2420/220 (thus OCing my RAM to DDR440), and my GPU up to 433/1110, I'm left with serious stability issues... BSOD's, and programs not responding.

The point is, and I know this sounds terribly newbie, but I never had this problem before with using SP1. I could OC to the above with quite decent temps, resulting once in a personel record 3DMark05 score of just over 5,700... No blue screen errors, no unresponsive programs.

Has anyone else had overclocking issues with SP2? I've been routing around trying to get answers but to little avail so far.

For a start put the pci lock on, so you don't overclock everything else (I corrupted my hdd from not locking it)

Try raising the voltages a bit more.

If this fails, don't use sp2, as I don't really like it, when I next format I won't be putting it back on.
