sound card help, i have no sound

hello, got a dell computer, reformatted my hard drive, had all drivers but the driver for my original sound card, dell didn't have it, yamaha didn't have it, and i coundn't find it on the internet.

so i boght a new sound card, installed the new sound card and the drivers but i still don't have sound. the old sound card is a part of the mother board that i was unable to take out without taking the all the way apart. can anyone help me?

Have you disabled your OB sound either via jumpers or the BIOS.

Did you fully uninstall the old sound drivers?

Have you checked for IRQ conflicts?

What OS are you running?
What Soundcard have you now got?
