SO. will these upgrades help my performance a lot? i would like to start overclocking some more. would it make sence to replace the stock cooling HS/F on my 7800GTX??

~thanks

just remember 2 things.

2.The CNPS9500 forces you to remove your motherboard and put the back plate on....its a pain in the ***.

2. If your overclocking I suggest You get some G.SKILL extreme series for 150 dollars....its DDR 500 and you should get an excellent OC with that:D

but a 9500/big typhoon/freezer 64 PRO and some AS5 is a excellent combo :D

what do you mean with the back plate....why would you have to mess with it? and will i have problems with that ram you suggested since its ddr500?

what if the back plate on your mobo is metal already? my golden orbule came with another back plate that was metal, but i didnt install it as it was pretty much the same as the one already installed on the mobo

No what will happen your motherboard will lower it too DDR400 and when you OC you can Push it past DDR400 to ddr500.

Its a good thing :)

Actually, the Scythe Ninja performs as well as or better than the 9500... plus, it is cheaper.

Both the 9500 and the Ninja outperform the Big Typhoon... but the Big Typhoon is cheaper.

i'm not sure about the scythe but the typhoon beats the 9500 by a couple of degrees. on an Nf4 lanparty motherboard you will have to remove the backplate to install the typhoon as well. honestly if you are serious about getting decent cooling, installation shouldn't even be a factor as you should be more concerned about which is the most effective.
