Question SLI 6600GTs or a 6800GT?

I searched the forum and couldnt find the answer, although im pretty sure i saw it somewhere...

So, which is better, 2 6600GTs or just 1 6800GT? I thought it was 1 6800GT...but someone i know disagrees...so, which is it?

it depends benchmark wise the 6600's beat the 6800, but gaming wise the 6800 beats the 6600, mainly becasue there are only a few if any games that take advantage of SLI

1 6800 GT is better. 2 6600 GT's in SLI perform the same as 1 6800 GT.
why get 2 cards?

aj is correct....technically the two 6600GTs would perform slightly better, but not a huge difference really...you'd be better off buying a 6800GT and OC'ing to Ultra specs and perhaps later purchasing another......especially after the G70 is released the prices will drop

Theroretically in most synthetic benchmarks the SLI'ED 6600GT works better

However, most games, the single 6800GT does better.
