depends on what your fsb speed is and your multiplier and your ram divider if you are running one

It changes the ratio between your RAM and the FSB. Depending on what kind of RAM you have, you'll need to change it for stable overclocks. Some RAM just can't OC well at all.

the ram i'm using came from a 2-3 year old alienware. it's default clock rate was 166mhz and i OCed it to 200mhz. right now fsb is 220 and the multiplier is 10x with the memory at 200mhz like I said above, and it seems to be stable, i've had prime95 running for about 12 hours with no errors and I've run memtest in the past for many hours with no errors. it seems to me that the problem isn't with my processor or memory on their own, but rather how they communicate. what should I do to make the system more stable at higher OCs?

well your ldt multiplier X your fsb needs to be less than 1000 or your computer will be unstable say which motherboard you have and mabye someone with that board will be able to help you out
