Should I push the CPU farther?

Yeah I haven't seen them get over 3.3ghz very well. Once you get there your vcore has to go up pretty high.

Whoa.. who bought this back up...


Well XDRox was just seeing how high he can go... he had no experience in overclocking and crazily/selfishly went to 1.77 core to get 3.7ghz.. I do not recommend even going near that, unless you have the dough to pay for another one..

Yeah i actually have his chip, he was my math teacher last year and i mooched it off of him. He nor i care about the chip, we just want to see how high it can go. And i have another chip, my e6550, just having some fun with the e2200

I have it at 3.5 right now, but every time i try to go for 3.6 mobo wont post and i have to reset the cmos settings. I guess ill just throw 1.8vcore at it and see how it goes lol

crank the voltage on the core and the NB to get more stability... whats the RAM running at? and what voltage?

i havent tried raising the NB volts yet, i will do that next. My ram is at 800mhz, with 2 volts. it doesnt overclock well so i dont mess with it too much. What are average temps for the NB? mine sits around 50c, this good or bad?
