hey, i'm new to the forums, but i think i'll like it here.
my first post is about a server i recently aquired- it is a Dell Poweredge 2300 pii 350MHz, used, i got it for 75 dollars. the only thing wrong with-one of the slots on the scsi backboard is failing. i've already ordered a replacement board, so after that it's all good.
the thing is tho i want to upgrade it. now, this is my first computer project, so i'm going to need a little help from the good people here at the Tech Forums.
first on my list, i'd like to find a compatible motherboard that supports pentium 4's. any suggestions? i've never put a computer together before, so i don't really know how to shop around for things like that, especially for servers.
i currently have a dual cpu motherboard that supports pentium 2's. i pretty much want the same thing but for pentium 4's (all the upgrades that come with it as well, of course). can anyone help me out here?
