Default Sata

um i have this blue SATA wire thing and im unsure of where it goes and what exactly it is. I had it connecting from one sata port to another right next to it, but im not sure if thats where it goes since both ends connect to the motherboard.

NO. if you don't have a drive that uses it, don't use it at all.

Harddrives that use it, or CD-R/DVD-R optical drives that use it. Most still use IDE though, so I woulnd't worry about it.

Ya thats probably a good idea, but can you tell me what drives sata cables are used for?

Sata is basically the new form of ide. sata=150mb/sec IDE=133mb/sec do a search this has been discussed many times
