I have searched but cannot bring up the exact answer I need, sorry if this has been asked.
Okay here it is:
In rivatuner on the fans control section I noticed there is 2d (probably viewing the interenet ect) low 3d (chess? =P) and extreme 3d (oblivion ect)
What exactly happens when I alter these settings, based on what they say I can infer this much:
When you set 2d to 20% the fan on your GPU while not in a game on windows decellerates to 20%, when low 3d is set to 50% then it picks up when you enter a game, and with extreme 3d set at 100%, once you start up Guild wars or the like the fan ramps up to as stong as it goes.
Is this how it works? Also, what does it think low 3d vs extreme 3d is?
