Hi ,

I am atempting to achieve optimal performance on my system .

My system =

ASUS p4p800SE
Pentium 4 3.0E (Prescott)
Dual 512 mb PC3200 Samsung 2.5 3 3 8
Radeon 7500

Please have a look at my CPU-z readings and tell me what you think

http://new.photo.naver.com/ArticleR...rderbyType=W&boardType=P&page=1&scrapBlogYN=Y

I currently have FSB set at 220 , and RAM timing at 2.5 3 3 8
Temps seem stable at 62 C, but when I start ideo encoding , things seems to go south , temps go to 72 and throttling sets in .

Will increasing Vcore , prevend this?
Also I'm unclear about one thing, the Samsung DDR ram is 400 MHZ, but in my BIOS I can change Frequency to 500, and 533 Mhz. Should this be changed or should it be set to the actual 400 MHZ. ????

Please reflect and I'll keep checking

THANKS
HAPPY NEW YEAR

Your temperatures are too high to be trying anything...and no, an increase in vcore will not "fix" this

You need to go back and do some more research as you're asking common sense questions about thermal dynamics

Common gaara help the nub out. Its no fun reading stickies :p

Your temps are really high dude and raising vcore will only raise them higher. You should probably look into getting a new heatsink/fan or better cord management or both.

About the ram I assume you are looking at your bios giving you the ability to OC.

Ok I changed my mind....... go read the stickies :D
