Default rendering computer need reccomendations

alright guys i need help upgrading my computer for rendering architectural models
currently i have
Asus A8N - SLI
Amd X2 4800+
2 GB OCZ Plantium 2-3-2-5
EVGA 6800gs 256mb
400 watt power supply and such

i was thinking 2 more GB of ram even though windows xp pro cant handle more then 3 gb
and a graphics card that has at least 512 mb and 24 pixel pipe lines

if u get the 64 bit version of windows xp then you can have more than 4, so if your gonna get the extra gig you will need to upgrade windows.

and if you wanna render try looking at the nvidia quadro series and the ati firegl series, those are meant just for rendering... geforce and radeons are meant mostly for gaming and won't do so well with your kinda of needs

They're super expensive but the lowest model will probably outdo what you have now for your usage

Get 2GB - it will help a lot.

Like said above, gaming cards aren't going to help. You need to purchase the Quadro or FireGL cards.
