Default Really Getting Peeved!!! Usb

Hey I think that I may be an idiot but why do I have such trouble with usb ports. Like I cant get the drivers (that came on the disk with the mobo) to work. Is there a place to go where I can get some help. I don’t know why I have this trouble, also when it says that the driver is fine it still dosent work. My board is a MSI K7N2, and on the cd it said if your installing on win 2000 get Microsoft service pack 4 then install the drivers and I did still no luck. I just cant get the usb ports to work this isn’t the first computer either.
