Default Ram always idle at 50%

Hey guys... i never really noticed this untill yesterday...

Im using windows vista ultimate 32 bit version. On my side bar i have the multimeter gadget. When my pc is idle it shows 50% is being using, it usualy ranges between 48-51%.
I took a pick of the performance tab on task manager and the multi meter, pls let me know if this is normal.

It's because vista caches ram for faster loads on stuff you use alot.
