RAID vs Raptor?

nah i dont like seagates their slow compared to others (yes mayb sum models are fast) but i much prefer sumthin like a hitachi or wd

actually, their current drives (ST3xxxx23A) are pretty fast
I've seen benchies which show them kinda close to the Raptor (not in access time though)

Extra load on the IDE controller I doubt would happen. But the drives we're discussing are SATA, not IDE.

sorry i ment sata controller but yeh .. how come it wouldnt put more strain on it? the information has to be split isn't the controller doing that?
