why does my radeon 9200 not overclock more than 320, it will go up to 340, but gets artifacts after 10mins of playing halo.
I put a Pentium 2 heatsink on it, 4 times bigger than the original gpu HS. However the overclock remained the same

320 stable

340 works for 10mins, and then when u put it to default artifacts remain until you dont play games for 10mins

ya i guess your right, its accually a pentium 3 heatsink, i didnt know i didnt own the processor that came with it. Anyway i was able to get an extra 10mhz out of the core with this giant pentium 3 heatsink /fan.

the original heatsink was so f*cking tiny, it was smaller than my northbride on my kt400. WITH NO FAN.

im happy considering i paid 100CDN +tax for my card.
i made memory chip coolers, out of old pentium 1 heatsinks, i just need some thermal tape now.
