Questions on msi 8800 gt overclocks..

Hey guys, the stock core on the cards is 660 and I push the core up to 700 and it makes literally no difference, then I push to 720 I notice fps drop on benchmark roughly 1fps avg.

Just curious shouldn't I notice a difference from 660 -> 700 and I'm running sli..

are you oc'ing both cards? if you aren't then the faster one will clock itself to run at the slower clocked card. so basically if you're only oc'ing one card then you're negating anything by using sli.

Sorry, didn't realize someone would actually oc only 1 card that's like trying to oc only 1 stick of ram lol.. No, I'm pretty certain both are being oc.. I use rivatuner unless there's an option I need to set, I think both are oc.

I ran the benchmark on 3dmark 06 the very first test on demo by itself.. When I run @ 660mhz it's like 52.2xx fps when it's at 720mhz it's roughly 53.3xx fps. It speeds it up but hardly enough to call it overclocking.. Is this normal.. iono..
