Question concerning Overclocking a 6600GT

So i have no problems actually overclocking my 6600gt with coolbits. The problem i'm having is after i overclock it a few days later the Nvidia Icon just dissappears. So if i want to adjust anything i have to go through the steps of getting a new forceware driver, which i install then i have to put coolbits back in the registry and then i can change my settings for overclocking the card again. Why is this happening? Before i use to put coolbits in the registry and overclock it with no troubles and the icon would just stay in my toolbar(at the bottom) forever. This is starting to freak me out (besides the point it's a pain in the ass to do) can anyone help??? Thanks in advance for any suggestions or tips.

I dont know why its disappearing, but when it does, try right clicking on your desk top, and clicking the nvidia option in the pop up menu.

use riva tuner far better and doesn't need modified drivers
