Played around a little today. Tried running at 3.6, but could never get it stable. It takes 1.475v on the vcore to get windows to start, 1.5v to run it some what stable, but when I try to fold it crashes within 1-2 mins. I had the Ram @ 800MHz and 2.2v, NB 1.39v, FSB 1.45v, SB 1.55v. I then tried 3.4 and I get the same thing other than it takes about 3-4 mins before it crashes during folding. Any body with the same board and cpu have their setup running stable @ 3.4 or higher? If so, what are your settings?

I finally got a rock stable OC @ 3.25Ghz. 120 hours of folding, no problems. Vcore @ 1.375v, Dram @ 2.1v. Must try 3.4Ghz again soon.

I am currently 28 hours of SMP Folding stable at these settings.
3.6 Ghz
Vcore (Set in CMOS): 1.425
RAM: @ 2.0 Volts
1 to 1 ratio
5-5-5-15
Load temps are 52C.

I don't think I will ever make 3.6 with those temps with my current setup. Running @ 3.25 temps average 49-52 full load. When I tried 3.6 before, Vcore had to be 1.475 to get to windows. I ran prime95 and it had problems after 5 mins. Temps were up to 58-62 which I would prefer not to run at. I lapped my HS and CPU which dropped the temps a bit. I just may be one of those unlucky people with a Q6600 that does not like 3.6 Ghz. Come to think about it, I should loosen my ram timing. It was still at 4-4-4-12 when I tried the 3.6.

Yes you should:
One should only attempt running 4-4-4-12 after the settings have been run for a long amount of time, and your are certain they are stable.

Like I said, i will try for 3.7 Ghz by next week.

I finally got 3.33GHz stable with 4,4,4,12 timing. Vcore 1.3875v, NB 1.49v, FSB 1.40v, SB 1.075v. Core temps run 52-60 depending on the room temp. NB temps were around 50 until I swapped some of my fan connections and temp settings and then I dropped it to 45. Figured I better get better cooling since I don't like those temps being over 60 and it is winter, summer would suck since no A/C. Just ordered a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme and a CoolJag Everflow 120mm 4-pin PWM Case Fan 110.03CFM 39.5dBA. That should drop the temps a bit and then I can go for 3.6 or more. I did have it @ 3.6, but not completly stable and temps were around 62-65.

Good job. Though you can try for 3.6 Ghz, it doesn't seem all that likely by your account of your current Vcore.

Most People with G0's require a Vcore of less than 1.35 for clocks lower than 3.4 Ghz.
I mean right now I am clocked @ 3.65 Ghz and a Vcore of only 1.4125.

But, by all means go for it, I just don't see it happening.

The key to a stable Quad overclock with minimal Vcore is to have some decent volts on the FSB, when i had my Q6600 at anything over 3.6Ghz i had FSB volts as +0.15 i think it was just to be sure of stability(it was folding). Also if you are on X38 chipset please be aware that X38 is very heat sensitive and isnt that great over about 50 degrees - if you put a fan on it you should get considerably better overclocks and stability!
