EVGA | Download Drivers

do the following:
Mainboards -> BIOS Updates -> NF68/63

then click Go

follow the directions on the next page for flashing the BIOS..it literally take 5mins to do.

[LIST]

*FLOPPY (Floppy Disk and Disk Drive Required)

Download the following executable: NF68_P32.exe
Insert blank floppy disk into drive and run executable
Restart machine, and set floppy as the primary boot device
Press "Y" to program BIOS
After flash, power off PC completely, on reboot load defaults in BIOS
*CD Method (Blank CD and CD Rewritable Drive Required)

Download the following .iso file: NF68_P32.iso
Use a CD Burning software to burn the .iso image onto a blank CD (Nero, Alochol 120%, etc)
Restart machine, and set the CD Drive as the primary boot device
The BIOS flash process will begin, Press “Y” to program BIOS
After flash remove the CD, power off PC Completely
Turn on the PC and load defaults in BIOS
*Windows Installation - Alternate installation method

Before updating your BIOS, please load BIOS defaults by hitting the delete key during POST and select: “Load Defaults.” Now select “Save & Exit Setup.” After that has been completed please follow these instructions:
Download the following files: NVIDIA Update Center and NF68_P32.bin
Install the latest NVIDIA Update Center and run the program. (Use ONLY the above version, DO NOT use any previous version of NVIDIA Update Center.)
Once Update Center opens, Check the box “Clear CMOS” and then hit apply at the bottom right hand corner
Now select browse and locate NF68_P32.bin
Select load bios
After update center finishes, completely shutdown your system
Once the system is off, unplug your PSU and press the power button on the front of your case. (This will discharge the Motherboard.)
Wait 30-60 seconds to turn on or plug in your PSU and start up your system
Press "Delete" to once again enter the BIOS, and load defaults. Save and exit; your system BIOS is now updated.
So, i cant do it by the floppy drive method so i can either do it by the nvidia update center method in windows or the cd method...

I heard updating bios in windows is a nightmarish experience... but it sounds easier...

I'm guessing it is recommended by you guys to update with the CD?

i did the CD method

-just download the .iso file
-use Nero or whatever to burn it as an image to disc
-then restart and go into the BIOS and reset them back to default
-then set the first boot device as the CD drive
-plop in your CD
-save CMOS and restart
-it will pop up to flash the BIOS and follow the directions they give you
-after its done flashing go into the BIOS and set them back to default again
-then make sure you set the primary boot device back to hard disc

if u enable it it will have a "nvidia nforce 680i" splash insted of the post screen, its disabled by defalt. it comes before the windows loading screen.

i wouldnt turn it on untill you have your oc stable and everthing worked out.

I've just finished flashing my bios with the cd... and let me tell you

THAT WAS EASY!

But i almost shat myself with fear -_- im such a ***** when it comes to computers lol

OK!

My fsb is 1337

My ram is at 800 mhz and 5-5-5-15

My voltz r

cpu 1.4250v (shows up as 1.36 in pcwizard... guessing some gay intel trick that i should of turned off -_-)
FSB 1.5v
memory 2.20v
1.55 spp
1.650 mcp
1.55 ht

Ok.. well its at 3.01 ghz but i do not think it is stable.. I had prime open and all cores were at 100% and the temps went up to 67 highest... but it was only a short period of time :/ GRANTED i just reapplied the paste a day or 2 ago... But still... I dont think its stable because i got an error in core #2... so i stopped it even though the rest were working

Is there any settings i should change? Is 800 mhz for the ram fine? I just want to make sure im not crashing in the middle of games with my 1337 fsb
