PCB=Printed Circuit Board, what all the electronic components are attached to.

the 7900GS reference board is the same as the GT reference board. so be careful at saying they are the same. a GS reference board is not the same as a non-reference GT, nor vice versa and neither would two non-reference boards be the same.
