Default pushing a 7900gs

i just bought a pny Geforce 7900gs, stock settigs are 450/1320. what are the best speeds i can expect form this card without any mods?

With good cooling, maybe around 550/1450 or better?

550 for the core

and, so long as it hasnt been down-volted, 1600 for the memory.

wow those are high numbers. this should be a big boost over my 6600.

I got my 7900gs to 614/822 stable for 7+hrs. Any clocking above that either artifacted hard or crashed.

so you underclocked the ram to raise the gpu?

There's something up with mine, I was only able to push it to like 530 or seomthing like that but that's a really wierd yours should do better. With a 1.55V voltmod I'm up at 663/900.

Got my 1.55v core volt mod and 2.24v memory volt mod which gets me to 695/810.

why is my memory so much higher than everyone elses? do pny cards have better memory or did you have to underclock it to boost the gpu?

I can get up to about 645/835 for a few hours but then it totally craps out. Im gonna try volt modding it eventually and see how hard i can push it.

That rate youre seeing is the DDR rate.
