Pushed my northwood a bit further

I am now running at 2.9ghz and I want to go to 3. It runs very stable at this speed so far and everst says my cpu temp is 42-45C. I dont know what the temp limit for this cpu is and I am afraid to go higher. How hot should this cpu get before i worry? Are the current temps accepable?

edit: MY bios says 49-50C

Well, I am guessing those are idle temps by the way they read. That really mean nothing. You need to load it for a while with Prime95 or something and see what it loads at.

I tried searching for a chart that tells me what the danger temps are, but I cannot find one for a P4 northwood core. I want to try and pull 3ghz out of this processor without killing it on stock cooling. Eventually I am going to upgrade to a 3000+ Venice, but for now, I cannot afford it.
