To be fair, he's right, the FSB communicates between the CPU and the northbridge, and the northbridge is responsible for the RAM, as well as AGP/PCI/PCI-E slots. That's why they're all stuck on a 1:1 ratio and you need to lock them.

Talking about Athlon 64s, the memory is controlled by the built in memory controller, and the link between the RAM and CPU, as well as chipset and all other components is the LDT link.
