I have a Compaq Pressario 5410 desktop computer with an AMD K6-2 processor. Last spring Mad Dog had a nice rebate offer on a 350 W power supply. I bought one thinking I would have an extra power supply with more power and more features available. When I install it, the computer will not boot up. As best I can tell, the motherboard is ATX. Does anyone know why an ATX power supply would not work on my Compaq? I even tried two of the Mad Dog power supplies, so I do not think a defective power supply was the problem. (My old Compaq power supply is still working fine, but it is more than six years old now. Also, I was attempting to start a new thread where this topic is more fitting, but something did not go right. God must really love newbies. He made so many of them!) Thanks.
