Can anyone recomend a reliable power supply thats not that expensive.

Yeah that's definitely a good PSU

I got thermaltakes 560w and I have no complaints thus far. Almost went with that 480w, but since I was adding so many fans at the time wanted to make 100% sure power wouldn't be an issue.

Anyone know of a similar PSU in quality and cost that's around 400 watts and silent?

I originally had a 420 watt Enermax "Noisetaker" in mind, but since yesterday my newegg wishlist (soon to be cart items) were erased and I could no longer find that model available.

that? i would advise against it as the 12v rail is only 15A...pretty weak.
