Power Supply

Ok, I want to mod my case with uv reactive lights etc. and apart from that I would just have all the normal stuff inside.

What power supply do i need? how many watts?

Anything 500W or above will do fine. Don't get something cheap though, but since you are wanting to make your PC flashy, you don't have to worry about that.

Well you dont need a different one if your talking about cold cathodes, they only require about 3 watts a piece you could run 20 and probably be safe with your current psu.

I'm updating mine to a good 480W one, dual fans.

I can't believe i've been using a 350W up till now...


That 500W one I showed you should work for your purposes.

geez guys the only reason u would need a 500w psu is if ur powering a microwave... i got a 350w and i have 2 hdd's 3 fans 2 ccfls a lcd display and 2 cd drives and i only use 280watts

You shouldn't need anymore than a 400W power supple, I would suggest Antec True 430W
