anyway o get back on topic does anyone know of an effective pencil mod maybe for the 8800gts, or a simple volt mod. and with a price on materials for both cards.

no pencil mods available for the 8800gts... all hardmod, soldering

talk to merk, he's successfully performed one

I believe you can do a voltmod inside the bios...but im not sure.

none of those ever work for any nvidia cards

i've only found ati bios voltmods possible

i found a solderless oen where the guy uses electrical tape

Theres a guy selling them on ebay with a switch....its nice cause with a flick of the switch you can go from voltmod to no voltmod.

those are a waste of money... overpriced... and i'm sure he doesnt wanna buy another one

there is a vmod for gtx260's through bios.. but success rate is a hit or miss

hmm im a litle iffy about this, it really all depends of reversability of it, and the cost of it. but i dont know what im looking for so im going to need help of members here.
