You will be able to use XGL with that card, it just won't be very smooth. What distro are you going to use?

No, that's my main Windows desktop. This is for a new(in a manner of speaking) Linux machine. It'll be my first Linux box too. New is a relative term here, as I'm putting it together with spare parts I've collected, but it's coming together pretty well.

I guess I'll have to update my sig.
