Default PCmark (or any similar software) crashes my PC whilst trying to read System Info.

PCmark or any benchmarking software will cause my computer to crash or freeze when trying to read my System Info.

I tried running Everest Home Edition and this froze my PC also, i can't use any benchmarking program and i don't know why.

Can anyone help? I need this most of all now because i'm overclocking my Celeron D and want to benchmark these changes.

Are there any IDE controller cards or any other cards installed that can cause a reboot when system info is read? I know my IDE controller add in card causes a crash even when the auto restart is disabled...

Even when i haven't overclocked my PC i have the same problem. Can't use any kind of benchmarking program cuz it'll freeze my computer- especially when trying to initialise the test.

i guess the software doesn't like your motherboard and chipset.
