Hi guys, what does it mean when the motherboard starts beeping? like every sec or 2, my PC is not the best pc on the market :S it only does it when i play certain games, if i play The Ship (game, uses the source engin) it doesnt beep, i can play city of heroes on medium settings for about 2 weeks b4 it starts beeping, but if i play a game called gunz, which doesnt need much to run it, it beeps within 15 minutes?
Anyone got any ideas

Future Thanks!!!

What are your system specs... mobo, cpu, gpu, psu, etc... it could be your GPU, it could be the mobo... how old is it? so on, etc...

erm, i have 700mb ram
2.8Ghz Intel Celeron
its about 2-3 years old
i dont know what gpu, and psu means :S lol sorry
and the beeping sounds starts in gameplay, if i minimize the game, the beeping stops straight away, then about 1 minute after i maximize page it starts
Thanks

GPU: Graphics Processing Unit or video card.
PSU: Power Supply Unit or power supply.

I'm thinking it is definitely overheating, but from what i couldn't tell ya with the information that has currently been given.

oh kk right, erm my graphics card is ATI Radeon X850, i dont no wot my power supply is.... and i think ive got 1 fan, its not really a gaming PC so...

umm how about a new HSF :).The zalman 7000 is a good start. What is make/model of Mobo and what kinda beeps like 2 long,1short you get me.Often you can look in your mobo manual and there will be an troubleshooting page that will describe the beeps. If you dont have manual the company of motherboard will have a PDF.version of it on their site. Also try and figure out if the case is hot and get new fans. What kinda case or do you know?Even if it isnt a gaming pc cooling is still a big deal i would put a larger fan and also how about some wire management look around the forums there is a sticky about wire managment.Umm a new case fan would be a great IDea.

Case fans:

Iam guessing you have a 775 socket or if it a few years older it may be 478 socket.
