PC Optimization - Any programs you swear by?

I got OneCare for free when I worked as a tech, It expires in Feb, not sure if I am going to renew. Pretty much the same reason I run Vista.

when using o & o, wht defrag option do you guys use?
and i always have firewall disabled and im not sure if i sh ould do that since i have a dsl router and wireless router in my house for the upstairs pc.

one care has a 90 day trial, i just signed up for it a few days ago.
i suppose i will be able to *ahem* sign up again when that expires. works with nod32. lol you're right trotter, there's no way i would actually pay for an AV program. too many great free ones.
