Hello all, I'm new to overclocking and have been reading a ton of the posts here. I was wondering what you think would be a realistic overclock for a 1.9ghz P4. I currently have 2 extra fans I can pop in the case. Would around 2.1ghz seem reasonable and not too hot?

I'm sure you could easily gain 200MHz, but you'd better make sure you have decent temps as it is. Do you know what kind of temperatures your CPU is currently reaching idle and under load? Just keep watchin the temps and pop in those extra fans and you should be able to do it

It depends, do you have the stock heatsink? my rule of thumb is, dont let it go over 145 fahrenheit, but thats just me lol

The temp on the CPU is hanging steady at about 100 degrees fahrenheit. It's the retail Intel Heat Sink and Fan. I just read an overclocking guide so I'm going to slowly raise the bus multiplier to get it to 2.1ghz and keep an eye on the heat.
