overclocking problem (maybe)

I overclocked my cpu from 3.0ghz to 3.4 ghz and now my mic is screwed . I only use my mic for counter strike and other little stuff. I've troubleshoot it and nothing. It sounds like crap on CS:S and on Windows.

The problem: When I try to speak it sounds like i'm underwater. I can hear stuff in the background like the tv or whatever, but can't hear it very good not clear. If I tap the mic I can't hear it, but if I tap my desk I can. hmmm. Whatever goes through the mic it sounds like crap and nothing sounds clear. It might be the overclocking or my sound card. (sound blaster live)

yea thats the prob. lock your pci bus to 33.33mhz !! also your mobo might not be coping with the increese in fsb

But i've also brought it back down to 3.0ghz and it's still the same. It sounds the same in 3.0 to 3.4

hmm well its possible that you did perminant dammage so mabe if you change it back to stock audio or borrow a friends sound card you can check
