is it possible to overclock a intel p2 450mhz

its one of these CPUS

With the older motherboards you have to do it through jumpers. But yes it is possible, as long as the jumpers are on the motherboard.

Yeah its taken me 1 hour to get xp to run due to stupid HDD block mode but OC is no longer an option sorry

Lol, don't bother installing XP on it. I ran XP for 3 days on a P3 450mhz and it was painfully slow. Refreshing a web page took nearly 100%cpu load for 5 seconds or so.

When doing nothing it was around 50%.

no it has 192mb ram installed

look my laptop is a 300mhz wiv 32mb ram n xp is installed and runns slow but good i only use it for Web and Msn

I overclocked a PIII450 to 600mhz stable once. It was still slow but noticeably faster. More ram does help low CPU power. At least 512 IMO.

yah i have 768mb on my old p3 550 the ram was scrapped up from an old comp my uncle gave me.
