Default Overclocking my Sempron

I have a sempron 3000+, Which really confuses me. Because the actual speed is 1.8grs but i know that sometimes AMD uses different technology which makes it faster than its raw speed.

Pioeple tell me my smpron is the equivelent of 3grs but how can that be when an amd XP 3000+ is faster along with AMD 64.

Well anyway i want to know wether its safe to overclock the speed to 2.0ghrs or not it still has its default fan i also want to kno what its actuall speed is so i kno wether its worth it.

thx lea0001.

---Want proffessional help thx.

You should be able to oc it to 2Ghz no problem if your board allow's you to,And yes it's stock speed is only 1.8Ghz,The 3000+ doe's mean it's compared to a 3Ghz processor but it's ment to be compared to a celeron
