So I'm at 3.4GHz, stock 1.3 Vcore, 57C load, and stable with 2x P95.
My northbridge is up to 1.4v from 1.25v and it's the only thing that is holding me back; not to mention the heatsink is hot to the touch after a few seconds. Should I buy/install additional cooling for the NB, bump up the NB voltage to 1.45V and then try for 3.8GHz or something?
Before I realized it was only the NB holding me back, I had the vcore set to 1.4 and it only loaded at about 62C! With the NB blockade removed, and pushing 1.4 vcore, I imagine this chip could hit some serious speed.
Or should I maybe call it good at 3.4GHz and actually try to undervolt it for low temps?
This has been a very strange overclocking experience...
