Default overclocking intel 2.5 ghz processor

hey i have a dell computer and i was wondering if it is even possible to overclock my cpu. if so please contact me with info on how to do it

yes you can, but dell is **** so if you try to overclock it, it'll crash

dell uses the ****tiest memory, ****tiest power supply, ****ty other stuff, ****ty ****, the other non-****ty stuff they HAVE are their monitors and PDA's, but then again, samsung oems for their monitors and HTPC oems for their PDA's and basically dell is ****ty

oh, and no, you don't want to OC it

I don't think you can over clock it anyway's because your bios more than likely won't let you.

If you really want to OC it I would find the manufacturer of the motherboard ( DELL uses intel alot for their boards) and I would download a BIOS upgrade for that board and flash the BIOS over to a non restricted setup. But be careful you might render your computer useless.

Basically all options in BIOS are locked.. although ive never tried OCING my HP with a 3rd party

Technically the BIOS on a Dell mobo is a 3rd party BIOS. Basically doing what I said is going back to way the original manufacturer had as a BIOS.
