With just air cooling, how much overclocking do you think could SAFELY be done on this chip? How hard is it? Do you have to do any physical mods or can it all be done in the bios?

how do I check the stability? how much do you think I could realistically overclock it by? I've read that it could go as high as 3.2ghz on air...???

lol, we can't confirm you nothing, none of us even has one of these here, yet at least...

I'm gunna have one on Monday, I'll let you know how it goes.

And should massacreinfallx even be giving advice in overclocking? He was the one who didn't know how to reset his cmos...

While all chips are different, and there are many variables, I will through out a guess of 3.2 to 3.6 on air. As long as you can keep vcore below 1.4 or so, air cooling should be fine.

I have my E6400 running 3.2 with 1.365 vcore 24/7 on air no problems.
