overclocking for dummies

yea i have read it but there are lots of things in it i dont really understand and i was hoping for a more simplified explanation.

hrmmm i shall say my 2 cents from my experience.. to overclock ur cpu, you also have to either overclock your ram to keep up with its processor, or use dividers so its not running at same speeds as ur processor... for some mobo's (like mine) that don't have dividers you could just lower the speed of the ram... but i don't find this being an effective overclock... but don't take my word for it.... basically, your ram has to run at a pace that it can handle.. otherwise ur computer will not start... ya, imma cut this short, about to try 3dmark05 with my opty in!
