Hi Guys,
im a bit of a noob at overclocking so far.
just got watercooling installed on my A7m266-D system (Watercooling on CPUs, Chipset and Graphics) . its a dual amd MP 2000 cpu setup with pc2100 memory and Gforce 6800 ultra.
i was thinking about overclocking, not sure what speed would be a good? ive got a massive radiator so heat shouldnt be a big problem i guess.
can i up the FSB? i was thinking of buying some new pc 3200 RAM would it be worth it on this system if i overclocked?
is ecc memory better than non ecc memory? what would be better on a overclocked system?
cheers for any help!
here is some detail on the board:
Processor Dual Socket A for AMD® Athlon™MP
Chipset South Bridge: AMD-768™
North Bridge: AMD-762™
FSB 266 / 200 MHz
Memory 4 x 184-pin DDR DIMM Sockets support max. 3.5GB registered or 2GB unbuffered PC2100 ECC / PC1600 ECC / non-ECC DDR DIMM (can take 3200, guys from crucial memory say)
Support max. 4 registered or 2 unbuffered DDR DIMMs
