Default Overclocking with DDR3?

Just wondering, if I want to overclock an E8400 to 4.0, and the board has DDR3 memory, is there anything special I have to do? I've read many guides that say to change the memory settings, but I'm not sure if this is the same when using DDR3.

I'm just checking before I mess with anything. Thanks for the help!

No, nothing special, overclocking DDr3 is the same as OCing DDr2, if over rated speeds, loosen timmings, up voltage.
